Brief Description:

This Adobe Photoshop Beginners course is designed to teach you the fundamental skills you need in the shortest possible period of time. You will gain an essential knowledge needed to create and edit images in Photoshop.

The session includes:

Unravelling the Photoshop mystery – new documents, type of documents, applications and file types
Brushes and what can we create with them
Creating objects in Photoshop
Object manipulation and editing
Colours and their application in Photoshop
Layers and creating composites
Reproducing logos and how to see objects in Photoshop context
Saving and preparing files for print and web applications.
For the more advanced learners this session also includes:
Basic image manipulations – tools and techniques
Non-destructive manipulation techniques
Masks and their application
Adjustment layers

Previous Experience and Knowledge Needed?

Basic computer skills required.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to:
• Gain fundamental understanding of Adobe Photoshop
• Create Photoshop layouts from scratch using selection tools, colours, fills and layer options
• Create composite layouts using images, graphics and text
• Prepare digital files for web and print applications

Extra costs on the course for example text book, materials or equipment

All materials required are included in the course fee.

For the first session you will need to bring:

Packed lunch, notepad and pen.
