Brief Description:
Contemporary Dance class for all. This hour-long class will work through a warmup, technique-based exercises, and a combination dance piece. The combination dance piece will be taught across the course, so you will have a finished piece to take with you after the 10 weeks.
This class is a great way to build your coordination, balance, fitness, and use of breath through the fun medium of dance.
Contemporary dance is a style of dance built from many dance forms and focuses on movement lead by breath, the style allows for unlimited freedom of movement from intricate movements to large sweeping gestures.
Previous Experience and Knowledge Needed?
None, this class is for anyone that wants to learn dance whether you’re here to perfect technique or enjoy dancing to some music.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the 10 week course, you will have learnt:
- A short dance combination
- Fundamental technique base
- Knowledge of the style of dance

Hannah FranicevicHannah has been teaching yoga for the last 6 years. She started her yoga journey in New Zealand teaching at bootcamps working with people completely new to flexibility and yoga. She has since taught privately and in studios across the world working with people to help them increase not just their flexibility but strength. Her speciality is teaching yoga from a more technical perspective with a large focus on correct alignment, active stretches and movements and stability.
