Have you ever tried Japanese bread?
Japanese bread is fluffy and moist because it contains a lot of water. This makes the baking process slightly different from that for UK bread.
In this class, you will learn how to bake Japanese style bread using ingredients available in the UK. Let’s enjoy baking tasty, gorgeous Japanese bread!
On the day we will bake 3 types of summery bread:
- Orange custard bread – Make an orange compote, place it on custard cream and bake. The refreshing taste of orange is perfect for custard cream.
- Spicy curry sausage bread – Make spicy curry filling and wrap it with crispy sausages.
- Edamame (young soya beans) cheese bread – Edamame is a seasonal Japanese food that goes well with cheese and black pepper.
Comes with a tasting of Japanese-style bread baked by the instructor.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE NEEDED?
None. This course is suitable for beginners or anyone interested in making Japanese style bread
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
• Learn the basics of kneading bread dough
• Learn the appropriate amount of ingredients
• Learn how to bake various variations of bread
• Learn Japanese culture

・A dish cloth and tea towel, an apron
