Brief Description:

This enjoyable fitness course is designed for learners to gain strength and flexibility through traditional yoga poses, connecting breath with movement. The main focuses will be posture, balance, range of motion, muscular yoga poses and deep stretches. Classes finish with focus on the breath and relaxation to gather the benefits of the physical work achieved.

Previous Experience and Knowledge Needed?

No experience needed; all learners (19+) are welcome.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the 10 week course you will be able to:

-Learn and build upon the foundations of your yoga practice

-Increase flexibility

-Increase muscle strength

-Help reduce stress and promotes relaxation

Extra Costs:

Please provide your own yoga mat

For the first session please bring:

Yoga mat, water bottle and towel if desired

On Completion of this course what might your next steps be?

Further studies of yoga, perhaps a different style such as Hatha, Yin, or Bikram

Hannah FranicevicMy name is Hannah Franicevic I am from New Zealand and now live in Cambridge. My background lies in dance where I have trained and danced as contemporary and jazz dancer for the last 21 years. Through dance I found yoga which has helped me build and really focus on alignment and mobility to support a healthy body. In New Zealand I taught yoga at a bootcamp studio working with people just starting their fitness journey, changing paths in their fitness journey to focus more on flexibility and fully established yogis who enjoyed the variety and progressions in my classes. Working with this group of ex-rugby players, new mums, bodybuilders, runners and more in my class has enabled me to encapsulate all these different needs within one session whilst providing a welcoming and relaxing environment.
