This course is aimed at anyone who would like to know more about European painting between 1880–1920. It will be a basic introduction to the main art movements during this period including the Pre-Raphaelites, Impressionism and The Glasgow Style. Selected artists and their work will be studied each week so that students can gain an insight into how the periods linked together, and why these particular artists and their works were so important during this era.

About Your Tutor:
My name is Lisa Fretwell. I have been teaching Art History since completing my MA in 2009 to adults I a variety of settings within Cambridgeshire. I also teach Feltmaking and Stained glass day and evening classes as well as make book illustrations.
