Brief Description: Would like to know more about European painting between 1715–1886, this will be a basic introduction to the main art movements during this period including the Romantics, the Pre-Raphaelites
Would like to know more about European painting between 1715–1886, this will be a basic introduction to the main art movements during this period including the Romantics, the Pre-Raphaelites and Impressionism. Selected artists and their work will be studied each week so that students can gain an insight into how the periods linked together, and why these particular artists and their works were so important during this era.
Previous Experience and Knowledge Needed?
You will learn through a series of power point presentations, worksheets and class discussions.
