This course will help you talk with more confidence and exchange information on different aspects of the Hispanic world (culture, history, the arts, current affairs, etc.) By the end of the course you will have gained a good knowledge on a variety of chosen topics about Spain and Latin America.
Previous Experience and Knowledge Needed
Level required: C1-C2 of the CEFRL (Common Framework of Reference for Languages) of the Council of Europe. This equivalence could also include: living, travelling or working in a Spanish speaking country. You can always get in touch with us if you need further help with this.
By the end of this course the participants will be able to:
• Learn about the culture and history of Spanish speaking countries.
• Discuss current or historic affairs on Spanish speaking countries.
• Research and make a presentation on a topic agreed with your tutor.
• Watch Spanish videos, TV programs or films.
• Read and debate news, articles, short stories, videos or novels in Spanish.

I hold a Degree in Spanish Law from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and a Language Teaching Qualification (Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults) awarded by International House Barcelona and the University of Barcelona (Spain) Institute for Lifelong Learning (IL3). I also hold an MA in Legal Translation and Interpreting (English-Spanish). I am a professional translator and teach adult Spanish courses at various Colleges in Cambridgeshire.
