Brief Description

Do you have a love of watercolour? This course is designed for those who do not have any experience or those of you who do have some experience. The course will be based on the teaching of essential skills. These skills will be transferrable to any style of watercolour painting, both traditional and contemporary. All learners will be able to progress at their own pace.

Previous Experience and Knowledge Needed?

No experience is necessary, this course is designed for beginners and those with some experience.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the 10 weeks you should be able to:
• Experiment with application techniques
• Paint a variety of subject matter, both from photo references and from life
• Recognise basic shapes
• Identify forms and definitions.

About Your Tutor:

Bethany Eaton: Bethany is a practicing artist who works in Cambridgeshire tutoring a variety of groups on a variety of art based subjects. Her art work is in mixed media, using drawing and printing techniques to produce portraits.

Extra costs on the course for example text book, materials or equipment:

Some materials will be provided for the first lesson. Please bring papers, brushes and paints. Any additional materials needed will be discussed for future sessions.

For the first session you will need to bring:

Please bring some paintbrushes of varied sizes, along with watercolour paper, pencils and a water container for paint brushes.
