Brief Description:

Enjoy the art of weaving pliable willow into three-dimensional objects. 

This workshop will teach you how to make a round willow basket.  You will learn a variety of weaving techniques and be encouraged to design your own basket, choosing from a range of willows, weaving styles and basket sizes.

Enjoy expert tuition in a relaxed and fun environment.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to:

• Learn some basketry weaving techniques.
• Learn how to prepare willow for weaving.
• Complete one willow basket of your own design.

For the first session you will need to bring:

A notepad and pen. Please also bring a packed lunch each day.

Brief Description:

Enjoy the ancient art of willow weaving and learn how to make beautiful items for your garden or veg patch.

(pliable willow into three-dimensional objects.)

This workshop will teach you how to make a willow obelisk for the garden , perfect for growing sweet peas or beans. You will learn how to make this plant support using a few basketry techniques. It can be woven between 4ft and 6ft tall.

Spend the day learning how to weave beautiful willow sculpture for your garden. You will learn how to create a framework for a bird sculpture and a few techniques for weaving the shapes, curves and lines that define your chosen bird.
