Brief Description:

Enjoy the art basketry in this one day workshop and learn how to make a frame baskets using a variety of willows. You will be able to choose from a range of colours to make your basket unique.(of weaving pliable willow into three-dimensional objects.)

This workshop will teach you how to make a small frame willow basket. You will learn a variety of weaving techniques and be encouraged to design your own basket, choosing from a range of willows,( weaving styles and basket sizes.)

Enjoy expert tuition in a relaxed and fun environment.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to:

• Learn some basketry weaving techniques.
• Learn how to prepare willow for weaving.
• Complete one willow basket of your own design.

A notepad and pen. Please also bring a packed lunch.
