Liming Guan (Ming) is an educator who once served as a teacher librarian in an IB school in China, has completed studies in applied linguistics in the UK. Ming has deep interested in both Chinese and English cultures, particularly in language and children’s literature. Her background in promoting reading in libraries, combined with a focus on second language acquisition, has equipped her to teach Chinese during her free time. Passionate about instructing both children and adults in Chinese, Ming employs innovative methods to make her lessons engaging. She introduces picture book teaching for a vivid language understanding to beginners and explore oracle bone inscriptions to aid in comprehending Chinese characters. These approaches aim to deepen students’ understanding and maintain fun in learning.
