FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if the schedule has changed for my course?

Lesson closure is unfortunately sometimes necessary due to tutor illness or unforeseen circumstances.  Lesson dates are advertised at the beginning of each course but are subject to change at the discretion of the Adult Education department. We will re-arrange any missed sessions with another lesson, either added on to the end of the course, during a half term break, or an extra session during the week. We will be delivering the amount of ‘tuition’ that has been paid for.  No refunds are offered for re-arranged lessons that the learner cannot attend as the tuition hours for each course will have been delivered.

Can I get a refund of my course fees?

Refunds will be paid in full when a class is closed at the discretion of the College, or if you cancel your enrolment at least two weeks before the course starts.

If you decide to cancel less than two weeks before the course starts you will receive a 50% refund.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund if a course has already started. However, you may be able to transfer to another class, or we may offer you a credit which you can redeem against a future course (within the same academic year).  Please note: these options are dependant on the course viability.

All refunds are subject to an administration fee (deduction) of 10% of course fees.

Which level of course is right for me?

To optimise your learning experience at Adult Learn and Train we offer a variety of progression routes where possible. We are happy to assist you when you are making your choice, and if we cannot help we will put you in contact with the tutor. Please contact the Adult Learn and Train team for more information, telephone 01223 01223 712340.

Can I pay online?

Adult Learn and Train do not currently have an online booking system. However, to make a payment online you can email the office: office@adultlearning.education with details of the course you are interested in. If there is a place on the course, the administrator will allocate you a place and will send you bank transfer details. Please note the place is only reserved for one week. If no payment is received within this time bracket your place will be forfeited.
