COVID 19 Safety Measures
When you visit Learn and Train it may feel a little different from before, but our team will ensure that you have a safe experience whilst learning with us. In line with Government guidelines everyone attending courses with us will need to ensure they comply fully with all Government and school COVID 19 procedures and policies.
All visitors must sanitise their hands when they come into the building via the Main Reception. Additional hand sanitiser stations are located around the school and in classrooms. At the Main Reception we have installed plastic screens to protect you and our staff.
If a confirmed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is identified, we will be in contact with you. Face coverings/masks supplied by you are required by everyone entering and moving around the School (unless you are exempt from wearing one) in common areas such as corridors and toilets. Please keep to the left whilst walking along the corridors.
We will be running classes with smaller numbers to manage social distancing. Hand sanitiser will be available to use in the classrooms. Disinfectant wipes will be available in each classroom to wipe down desks before and after use. Please leave promptly after the course has finished.
If you or a member of your household are displaying any flu-like symptoms or have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID19) in the last 10 days, please do not attend any courses. If you become unwell after attending any course, please contact us immediately to let us know by emailing learnandtrain@cap.
If you have any concerns regarding this guidance, please call us.

Another set back hasn’t put us off!
So, we are in the middle of another lockdown. This means that our date for bringing learners back into the class will be moved again.
We continue to run successful courses online for our learners and have our next 5 week Funded Menopause course starting on Thursday 21st January.
We are ready to welcome learners back into the classroom and as soon as it is safe to do so, we look forward to opening our doors once more. Our tutors have been developing their skill set and we can’t wait to see what they have to offer.
For now we ask you all to stay safe, well and happy!

English and Maths Courses
English and Maths Taster courses have started… there are still a few places available on Maths Get Started for Functional Skills.
There are spaces left on the English and Maths Functional Skills courses and if you are interested in learning this year please get in contact ASAP to secure your place as numbers are limited and to join a funded course you will need to be enrolled from the start of the year to ensure to can complete the course.
GCSE English and Maths have attracted a lot of new learners. New queries from 7th September onwards will be added to a waiting list.
This last year has been a challenging time for all of us; over the last year Adult Learn and Train have been planning a phased return and has had to postpone their plans several times, we are still offering a range of online courses to help learners progress in their work and in other areas. In June 2021 we will be introducing some classroom based activities and hope to return with a full programme from September 2021.
Adult Learn and Train are following the government guidelines with regard to the reopening of schools.
