Brief Description:
Designed with the DIY bride in mind this day workshop would also be useful for anyone wanting to master the handtied bouquet and gain floral wiring tips.
You will create a bridal bouquet and learn techniques to wire flowers and leaves to create buttonholes and a small corsage.
Previous Experience and Knowledge Needed?
No knowledge of flower arranging is required, just a love of flowers.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course the participants will be able to:
• Apply techniques to create a tied bridal bouquet
• Try different wiring techniques to create wired plant material for a buttonhole and small corsage
• Know how to care for your completed floral work to maximise its life
• Investigate different styles of buttonhole and suitability of the bouquet to bride and dress.
• Extra wires and tape will be available to purchase at the end of the course so that you can carry on at home

Extra costs on the course for example text book, materials or equipment:
There is an allowance included in the fee for all plant material and sundries used on the day.
You will need to bring:
Strong scissors, (wire cutters if you have them) Binbag, notebook and pen if you want to record any information for yourself, camera (optional), apron. Hand wipes. Also a bag to transport your designs. Please notify the college of any plant allergies before the course. Bring a snack/ a packed lunch.
