21/01/2027 - 18/03/2027

Duration : 8 weeks

| Mind & Body

how to bring more peace and quiet into your life

Science confirms that stress is a significant contributor to poor health. There's also building evidence that by changing our response to stress, by learning how to notice the early warning signs and take better care of ourselves, we have the capacity to reduce pain and grow new routines help the mind and body rest, which improves mood and increases our options to lead more balanced lives, with more kindness and personal space.

Potential learning objectives:-

Understanding how to make lifestyle changes  more sustainable
Learn the practice of creating quiet safe spaces in your routine to alleviate stress and release energy
Learn the practice of reflective journaling to help make sense of emotions and stress
Learn to practise your new skills toolkit with others with similar challenges in a safe and trusting group to help embed changes with kindness and new friendships

Are you feeling regularly stressed by the smallest of triggers?
Do you struggle to make space for yourself to rest and enjoy your life?
Would you like to learn new ways of creating quiet spaces in your daily routines to help make changes for the better?

This 8-week programme has been developed to make these new contemplative approaches to a busyness and stress more accessible to all of us. It draws on the neuro-science of the brain to help us understand how our mind functions and why it is so difficult to change engrained habits that we know contribute to our unwellness and unhappiness. It draws on recent research which acknowledges that we do not all have the capacity to commit to meditating every day, while still using the key concepts of mindfulness to create the practice of micro-meditations, 10 minutes of quiet contemplation that help to reset a stressed mind. Evidence suggests that it takes 8 weeks to replace engrained habits, that contribute to poor health, with new sustainable behaviours that promote better health and mental wellbeing. This course will guide you through this change journey alongside others who are experiencing similar challenges.

David is an experienced tutor and wellbeing coach.
