Brief Description
This short winter course invites you to join a friendly group of like-minded learners who want to learn new ways of maintaining a balanced mindset when coping with difficulties, illness and stress. Mindfulness meditation is supported by scientific evidence as one way of learning how to respond differently to external stressors by become more aware of your habitual ways of reacting to stress, noticing the early signs and taking action to reduce its negative impact on your mood, productivity and relationships.
Your tutor, David, calls himself the Mindful Green Coach, a trained meditation teacher with 30 years experience of facilitating innovative training programme and health improvement.
Previous Experience
This short course would suit beginners as well as those with some experience of mindfulness meditation. David’s approach is informal, experiential with a focus on creating a safe calm space to reflect, as well as communicate with others to share experiences and learn from each other.
By the end of the course you will have:-
- A better understanding of how you react to stress and have explored some alternative options
- Practised several different meditation approaches and grown confident in your favourites
- A sense of the shared challenges and resourcefulness of being human and a good connection with others
- A mindful self-care action plan to help you through the winter and other difficult times in your life
- Other opportunities to continue your mindfulness training journey with David.
