Give aways and Weekend fun. Also included; Japanese Ikebana course information and the NEW Spring Programme is OUT NOW
Hello from the Adult Learn and Train Team
November, the month of fireworks, bonfires, fresh walks, comfort food on a cold day, and perhaps thinking about Christmas or New Year celebrations!
Adult Learn and Train have certainly been thinking about the new year for some time. We have attached our new Spring and Summer programme. Please take a look and let us know if you are interested in booking onto a course.
Our next weekend of courses are fast approaching... Join us on Saturday, 29th November, or Sunday, 30th November.
Take a look at the full descriptions in the link below.
We are running:
To get booked onto one of these courses, give us a call on 01223 712340, or drop us an email: office@adultlearning.education.
NEW GIVE AWAY: A signed book illustrated by our wonderfully talented tutor Lisa Fretwell
The picture below features our tutor, Lisa Fretwell, and her husband, Peter, at a book launch in September. Peter is a cartographer and scientist with the British Antarctic Survey. He is credited with discovering nearly half of the world's emperor penguin colonies and has written a book for the publishing company Penguin—surprisingly, it's about penguins! Lisa, who is also very talented, created all the illustrations for Peter's book.
We have managed to get hold of a signed book by both Lisa and her husband. If you would like to win this signed copy, reply to this email and we will put you in a draw.
We will draw the winner on Friday 28th November.
Something to think about:
Adult Learn and Train has been busy researching the benefits of face-to-face learning for health and wellbeing. Do you actively think about ways to look after your wellbeing, or is it something that can slip down the priority list?
Have you ever walked out of a class — with any provider — and noticed you felt more positive, motivated, and less stressed? Evidence suggests that being around like-minded people; learning while laughing together and sharing ideas, helps your brain release feel-good chemicals that lift your mood, reduce stress, and help you feel part of a community.
What do you think? Do you agree, or what are your thoughts on this? We'd love to hear from you.
