Practical and fun, this photography course is hands-on experience on what your digital camera can do and the way you use it. All sessions are about creating and doing and also using everyday items to create interesting photographs simultaneously learning how to use your DSLR or bridge camera to its full potential.
Light, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, exposure, etc. – we will cover all this term and gain an understanding in a practical manner using your digital cameras and experimenting
How to create these cool images of blurred traffic, people in motion, light trails, etc.? The basics of motion blur using shutter speed and panning techniques. An outdoor practical session
Whether is arranging flowers or making Lego sculptures, in this session you will learn some composition basics and how to control the camera aperture to focus the attention of the viewer.
Fun with gels and light! Create abstract images using every day things like hair gel, fruits and vegetables, etc. Learn the basics of lighting using a single spot light (a night stand light will do!) or a torch.
Learn how to freeze water and create cool images of water bubbles and water splashes
How to make professional looking portraits in your own home without any expensive equipment
This session is a competition for best street photography photo – a group visit to Cambridge City centre.
Editing, Printing and Presentation
Preparation for the closing session – print and present your work; digital portfolios, websites, printing, framing and presenting
